JUST DO IT

Are you one of those guys who procastinate and do what you know you ought to do later on? Guess what? I do too at times.Somehow we find it thrilling to do something in the last minute, just because we know we can. If an assignment is given to be delivered in a week.We are most likely to put it off until the very last day of the week,
because we know we are smart enough to pull it off.
As we all know, procastination is a problem. Even if at times one is able to make it happen against all odds.Truth be told , 8/10 times we end up failing. I beleive you are of age, to know we live in a crazy world where anything at any moment can happen and mess up plans we had. things we couldn't have put in to consideration. That's why intelligent people when assigning a task, even though they know it will take less time doing it,add abit of extra time to a task, putting into consideration these unknown factors.
I've come to the realization, it's better to do it right away.Because one, you are guaranteed you will be able to finish the task in time.Secondly, you will have much time in your hands to work on other staff or even better, polish your work to perfection. There is no better feeling than getting things done. One feels significant, purposefull
and full of inspiration to do even more.
Now let's adress the elphant in the room.Deep down we all know why at times we do procastinate. We just dont feel like doing it.We lack the enthusiasm to do it because we feel it's less rewarding or it's reward isn't immediate. In this case the brain is addicted to quick Dopamine satisfaction.(Dopamine is the hormone produced in our brain that makes us feel good) .That's why someone will choose to watch tv rather than wash the dishes. Both are rewarding, but one is much intense and quick than the other.
It becomes a problem when one gets hooked to these quick stimuli because one ends up putting off these other activities which in most cases are usually even more important and his or her life get's screwed up. Because they priotized much of their time doing less meaningfull things for the meaningfull things.Which is a bad trade. Would you rather enjoy the satisfaction of a few moments, or the satisfaction of a lifetime?
I'd choose the latter.
Sometimes maybe one is suffering depression and feels life isn't worth living and doing anything. In some cases maybe we are nervous and afraid because the task ahead of us is huge and it terrifies us.The truth is, life is what we make of it.And as a man thinketh, so he becomes. All one needs, is a change of mind and heart.Life isn't something happening to us, but for us. We are the life, we make it.We are not victims but creators working with all of creation. Man has the power to yield anything to existence, if only he rises from the lower states of thinking which are limiting and rise in conciousness to his power and
abilities.
Here's some advice for you the next time you feel like not doing something.Just do it, and do it..and when you feel like you just can't do it any longer,
do it one more time. Until doing it is all you can think of. That's how you rewire your brain to doing something. So, 'JUST DO IT'.
Yours Truly,
Nare Truly.
